Attention non residential permit applicants:You must submit accessibility verification form prior to permit approval. Building counter staff will give this form to all applicants for non residential permits. The form should either be signed and retured at that time if the applicant is the architect or owner, or returned as soon as possible. The form should be attached to the building plan check set of plans. 1. Please provide specifications and details on the building plans for ADA requirements. For example, show compliance to the 2001 CBC, Chapter 11. 2. Show a dimensioned and detailed layout of the van accessible parking space. Also be sure not to locate this parking space where a disabled person is not routed behind other parked vehicles. CBC 1129B.4.3. Provide wheel stop. 3. Provide van accessible signs: CBC 1129B.4.2. international symbol of accessiblity not less than 80 inches above pavement, and unobstructed by parked vehicle. Provide additional sign at each entry to parking lot. 4. Specify hard surface paths or walkways to serve functional areas. Show location of electrical outlets and pole lights. For the storage container, specify the access means to the stored produce. For example, does the 40 foot side open or the ends of the container? How about emergency exiting? 9. Show the location and amperage of the main electrical shutoff. 10. Provide dimensions for the outside display, including the storage container.Provide awning height and method of resisting uplift from wind. 11. Provide means of supporting the storage container and cooler unit on the site, by an acceptable method to resisting seismic motion. 12. For protection of the cooler unit in the area where it may be subjected to mechanical damage by vehicles, provide protective barriers, such as 4-inch diameter pipes, or elevated or located out of the path of vehicles. 13. Seismic activity needs attention to the proximity of both the storage container and cooler unit. Provide mechancal means of securing these in place to avoid dislocation. 14.
